All,

 

We are in the process of setting up a dev HIPChat server (On-premise) environment for testing.

We have video disabled on the server but are still seeing the installed client attempting to access the internet.

Can someone let me know why and what an installed on-premise windows client would need to reach the internet for?

Your subject is about JIRA, but the contents are about HipChat. Can you clarify what you are asking help with?

The client would be doing things like update checking. You can MITM it if you have specific concerns. You can also file a support request with Atlassian for a less work, and more official answer on this.
