How to lock a BRANCH in GIT repository

Hi,

What is the way, by which I can lock a given BRANCH as and when required. I prefer to have this lock on the GIT repository side, instead of having it on client side.

Example: If I am foollowing thr GITFlow workflow then, how can I prevent developrs from making any commit on "Production Branch".

regards,

Chandra

I guess if you are using Stash, you may set a Branch permission to only selected user. https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/STASH/Using+branch+permissions
