How do you remove or permanently delete folders that have been deleted from the SVN repository tree?

SVN folders that have been deleted and are located at the root of the project or in the tags folders show up in a grayed out fashion in the UI. These folders provide no value and may add confusion if the "Show empty directories" setting is selected. Can these folders be completely removed from the UI so that they are never displayed?

No,

Subversion was designed to mantain all the history, so deleted files are check as "deleted", but still there. This is the expected behavior.
