Fisheye indexing error : com.cenqua.fisheye.rep.DbException: java.io.IOException: Cannot overwrite

FrankV September 19, 2013

Hello,

I'm attempting to index our SVN trunk for the first time and get the following error:

Repository paused due to error com.cenqua.fisheye.rep.RepositoryClientException: com.cenqua.fisheye.rep.DbException: java.io.IOException: Cannot overwrite: C:\Users\PEservice\Documents\FishEyeInstance\cache\globalfe\idx0\_2d9.tis com.cenqua.fisheye.rep.DbException: java.io.IOException: Cannot overwrite: C:\Users\PEservice\Documents\FishEyeInstance\cache\globalfe\idx0\_2d9.tis java.io.IOException: Cannot overwrite: C:\Users\PEservice\Documents\FishEyeInstance\cache\globalfe\idx0\_2d9.tis

This occurs after Fisheye is attempting to index SVN for the first time. It take a couple of hours to reach this point. It seemed to get better (i.e. would index for a longer period) by reducing the value in "Throttle Connections / s".

Any suggestions?

Thanks.

The throttel connections is likely just slowing down the time it takes to get to the conflicting changeset.

Try this,

  • Shutdown fisheye and clear the cache (you can move to a backup directory instead of deleting).
  • Restart fisheye.
