Atlassian stands with Ukraine

**Update**

Since we first published this post, Atlassian has taken several actions to further support Ukraine, and will continue to look for ways to use our technology and resources to serve as a force for good.

  • To date, we have donated hundreds of thousands of dollars in humanitarian aid to Ukraine, through the Atlassian Foundation and through employee giving programs
  • At the direct request of the Ukrainian government, we have donated licenses of Atlassian software to aid their humanitarian and relief efforts
  • Atlassian will also donate the equivalent of all forward revenue from customers in Russia and Belarus, starting with an initial donation of $5M to causes that provide direct support to the people of Ukraine

Hello, community.

Mike and Scott have published a blog on the topic of Ukraine, noting some specific steps Atlassian is taking to help address the crisis.  Some excerpts:

  • We have a number of Ukrainian team members who are contracted with us and we have taken immediate action to support their safety and security through our local partners.

  • We have changed our network infrastructure to ensure customer data will not transit through the affected regions. Furthermore, we have added enhanced 24/7 security monitoring for all customers, with special focus on those that we believe might be targeted by cyber attacks because of their connection to Ukraine.

  • We are pausing the sale of all new software to Russia. In addition, we are suspending existing Russian state-owned licenses as well as licenses to specific Russian businesses that support the war.
  • We will be matching all employee donations to eligible organisations via our Atlassian Foundation, to assist with on-the-ground support for Ukrainians fleeing the war zone.

Please take the time to read the full blog for Mike and Scott's complete response.

Our thoughts are with Ukraine and with everyone in the Atlassian family who may be impacted, in particular the two developers who work on the community team who are based in Kyiv.

Be well, friends. 💙💛

Thanks for posting that here @Monique vdB!  I saw it on LinkedIn last night and read through all of it.  I really appreciate the careful thought and consideration that was put into this before making a statement.
