This is a feature we’ve been working on since 2021, with feedback from many of you, our customers and community leaders, along the way. We’re pleased to be able to share it now to help you on your Cloud migration journey. Read on for more details!
Securely integrate Atlassian Data Center with Cloud
Application Tunnels provide an easy and secure way to connect Cloud products to the self-managed ones beyond the firewall, while you transition from Server or Data Center to Cloud. Thanks to network tunneling, you can keep your Atlassian products integrated, and exchange data and functionalities between them securely, without exposing your network by opening inbound firewall ports or allowlisting IPs. Application Tunnels are available as a free app in our Marketplace.
Stay connected while you migrate
We know the journey to Cloud is long and demanding, particularly for our enterprise customers. If you have multiple products, instances and/or apps, it is not a simple one-and-done process. That’s where Application Tunnels come in.
As you transition from Server or Data Center to Cloud, you may need or want to keep your self-managed products available and connected to your Cloud products. Moving product instances one by one doesn’t, and shouldn’t stop your teams from doing their best work every day. With the support for Atlassian core experiences in Jira, Confluence and Bitbucket, your organization can benefit from added flexibility during your migration.
You can keep collaborating on Confluence and Bitbucket Data Center, while planning and executing a multi-stage Jira migration to Cloud – which is just one of many examples. Whatever the product combination or use case, Application Tunnels will be a huge help during extended Cloud migrations.
