Hello, and welcome!

If you’re new, we’re excited to have you. This group is a place where we hope you can engage, learn and share your perspective.

The way the members of this group engage with each other is entirely based on the type of members that join. Thank you for bringing an open mind, thoughtful questions, and any wisdom you have to share with others.

Let's get to know each other. Our members will benefit from knowing the type of people that join this group. Tell us a little about yourself (this is your time to shine ✨).

💡 Perhaps knowing your background will spark a question.

🤝 Perhaps the teams or type of company you work with will generate solidarity.

🤓 Perhaps you have the most unique experience and others want to learn more.

☕️ Perhaps you will meet a new friend for coffee chats to discuss work, ideas, and careers.

🎮 Perhaps you meet a new gaming partner.

💫 The options are endless in this community so start sharing today!

Consider responding to at least two of the icebreaker questions in the comments:

  1. What type of team or company do you work for?
  2. What is an antiquated way of working and how would you want to see it change?
  3. What do you hope to get out of this group?
  4. What do you hope to bring to this group?
  5. What is your favorite dev joke or work gif?
  6. Do you have a hobby or something you enjoy when not working?
  7. What is your favorite Marketplace apps and integrations for DevOps?

💙 We appreciate you sharing your time and expertise with the community.

Hello everybody!  I'm glad to be a part of this group!

My name is Robert Wen.  Let's see about answering some of these questions:

1. I work for ReleaseTEAM, a consulting company for working with DevOps tools.  I have expertise in Atlassian, GitLab, GitHub, Cloudbees, and Hashicorp tools myself, but I work with others who have expertise in other tools.

4. I hope to help others with questions and problems.

5. A QA tester walks into a bar...

He orders a beer.

He orders 0 beers.

He orders -54 beers

He orders fdafdaere beers

He orders fish beers.

He orders a margarita...The bar explodes!

6. I love to cook and play a mean game of poker.

Hi everyone,
My name is Craig Nodwell.
I've been doing Software Delivery Pipelines - Build/Release/DevOps/SCM for 31 years now, long before, and during the waves of tools and process changes.
I've been working with Atlassian tools for about 17 of those years.
If you've ever done an implementation and administration you'll understand that over 17 years that works out to about 60,000 hours. "Chuckle ugghh"
I hope to bring that experience to the group.
What I hope to get out of the group is far more valuable, I hope to learn here :)
Seems this tool is going to replace a specialist like me, so I better be on the front line running with it.
As for work, I'm between clients right now and working towards gaining my Atlassian Specialist Certifications I have the prep courses underway for the ASP 100 ASP 120 & ASP 600(620 not sure which I want yet)
As for hobbies, I'm a grandfather of 8 that keeps me busy and fulfilled enough.

Hi Every body.

My name is Dave Menconi and I'm a Jira Admin.

I work for a medtech company. I hope to learn more about the capabilities of Jira to support my customers (aka my co-workers). I have had a long and varied technical career so I might have a few useful insights.

Optimist: the glass is half full.

Pessimist: the glass is half empty.

Software Engineer: We could reduce the size of this glass and save a lot of money.

Game Developer: I'll bet I can get more water in this glass than anyone else in my industry!

Hobby: I like making things. Currently I do a lot of 3D printing.
