Reach your software development goals with DevOps tool data in Atlassian Analytics

Frame 2 (1) (3).png

How quickly will you need to deliver value to your customers in two years to stay competitive? Advances in tooling alone won’t magically keep your team ahead of the curve. You’ll need to continuously improve your ways of working to take full advantage of new tooling. Atlassian Analytics is here to help and now delivers DevOps metrics that empower you to guide your team to ever-greater performance.

Continuously improve using Atlassian Analytics with DevOps data

With an understanding of what’s slowing down work, you can then take the next step to eliminate waste in your processes. Atlassian Analytics, available in our Jira Software Cloud Enterprise plan, helps you identify opportunities to improve your planning rituals using DevOps data.

Engineering leaders already create dashboards based on Jira Software issue data and objects from Jira Service Management and Confluence. Now, you can also create charts and use templates populated with data from your DevOps tools integrated with Jira Software like SCM, CI/CD, and feature flags

Target your team’s friction points to deliver more value

The Team DevOps effectiveness scorecard template allows you to quickly identify your team’s bottlenecks and trends. DORA metrics like cycle time, deployment frequency, mean time to resolution, and change failure rate help you understand the throughput and stability of your development processes.

Track organizational progression with the 10,000 ft view

At any given moment, engineering leaders need to understand performance across teams and departments to know how customer value is created. Analyze performance across teams with the cross-team template to identify best practices. Use the Organizational effectiveness template to inform leaders and executives how to effectively make decisions and guide strategy at the department level.

Take a closer look at your workflows with custom charts

The metrics guiding improvement should be as unique as each team. The DevOps data tables allow you to drill down and identify the root cause (e.g. PR review time) of trends you see in DORA metrics (e.g. cycle time).

Our organization is ~100 people, and we're currently on Jira Cloud Premium. @Scott White is there any way for us to access these analytics? Based on the Atlassian Analytics page it seems like this is only available to Enterprise customers, which is a minimum org size of 801 people.

Would be nice to have these features as part of Jira Premium for accounts that don't hit the threshold of users needed for Enterprise!

@Mike Todd @Joshua Dickerson Presently, the Atlassian Analytics product is only available in enterprise editions. Thank you for your feedback and for letting us know your interest in availing of this functionality in premium editions. We would take this feedback to see if we can bring similar functionality to other editions as well.

This resonates with a lot of companies.  If the minimum license count for enterprise were lower we would be promoting this to a lot more logos.

Thanks for sharing @Scott White . There is a tremendous value here that can help everyone on the project stay current with how things are progressing.
