Which crowd.properties file is the right one with Bamboo?

Hey guys,

i found some mixed informations about this, so i thought i would ask the community about this. Im doing administration for Bamboo since version 4 if i remember correctly.

There is one thing i dont quite get, namely what crowd.properties location is the "real" one and which can be deleted? Or is it supposed to have 2 files with the need of identical content and the database-entries?

I know of 1 database-table  and 2 files for Crowd settings.

In database its CWD_DIRECTORY_ATTRIBUTE.

And as files i know of:

• <INSTALL-PATH>/atlassian-bamboo/WEB-INF/classes/crowd.properties

• <HOME-PATH>/shared/shared/configuration/crowd.properties

What is the recommendation here? What file should i touch in what context? Is there some sort of workflow involved? Please help me out.

Should i just ignore the "crowd.properties" in the <INSTALL-PATH>?
