JIRA Datacenter nodes

Amine BOUSSAIDI October 30, 2019

Hi,

I'm trying to deploy a JIRA datacenter version and I want to know if I can deploy 3 nodes including one in another location (physically separated location) ex : 2 nodes in Houston and one node in Oslo.

Thank you for your support.

Hi @Amine BOUSSAIDI ,

it seems that Atlassian designed the Data Center platform for co-located server as shown in this page : https://confluence.atlassian.com/confeval/data-center-evaluator-resources/data-center-can-data-center-support-nodes-in-different-geo-locations.

Let me know if this helps,

Hi @Amine BOUSSAIDI

Also as an alternative, if your users are distributed across the world and experience poor performance when using Data Center products, you may be able to improve their experience by using a Content Delivery Network (CDN). Common CDNs include AWS CloudFront, Cloudflare, Akamai, and others.
CDN support is available in Data Center editions of:

Jira Software 8.3
Jira Service Desk 4.3
Confluence 7.0
