Hi, is it possible to rename filter gadget in data centre?

Trying to rename gadget in jira (data centre ).  Is the feature avalable?

When you say rename the filter gadget - do you mean...

1. Change what the specific title is for the gadget on a dashboard? or...
2. Change the Gadget's actual name from "Filter Results"?

For (1), the name next to "Filter Results" is just the name of your Saved Filter - you could change the Filter's name (if you have the appropriate permissions) via:

1. Go to Issues > Manage Filters
2. Locate your filter - then, on the right-hand side select the cog icon, and choose Edit
3. Change the name, then press Save

For (2), I'd say not easily - could you clarify the need to rename a gadget from it's default name?

2nd one,  for clients its better to understand the topic that way,  there is rename option available in atlassian cloud right?  Is not available in data centre?

Not that I know of, the name of the gadget is defaulted in Jira Cloud. Could you point me towards where you've seen this option?

Even if it is possible to rename - I'd be cautious about doing this. I think it's easier to teach users how things are named in Jira, rather than trying to modify to each scenario. You could easily cause conflict/confusion - especially if a user moves companies or instances (where clients have >1).

Thanks for clarifying the specific need.

This isn't possible in Data Center at present, it's a Cloud-only feature. It has been requested in DC - see JRASERVER-19766 - but notably, the suggestion is >12 years old.
