Happy Data Center Love Month!

I’m Jacqui, one of the product managers for Confluence Data Center. I’m excited to share with you a few highlights across the Confluence releases we’ve shipped over the past 12 months.

All mentioned features will be included in our next Long Term Support (LTS) release, Confluence 9.2, which is planned for release in Q4 2024. Confluence 9.2 will be the first LTS release on the Confluence 9 platform, with a strong focus on strengthening the security of growing enterprises, as well as powerful features that accelerate team productivity, and improvements to the admin experience.

The Confluence v9.2 feature i'm most excited is the "Sort Columns with text, dates...." I hope this feature also includes filtering data. Overall this feature will increase user productivity. The Dark Mode is cool but does not attribute to improving user productivity.

So excited for dark mode! This has been requested by many users. The Time to read at the top of the page will also be a huge add for leadership, as well as those to prepare for leadership content to ensure they don't go down the TLDR path!

Sortable columns and easily-resized images will be welcome features!

The best part of "dark mode" is the fact that it has a "Match System" option (which for me is configured to auto-change based on the time-of-day). It doesn't make sense to have dark mode active all the time (see my comment about the problems with dark mode), but it does make sense to have it available in certain conditions (like when the room is dark!)

Oh, I think my most loved ones are:

• sorting tables. This is really handy as long as there's no Confluence Databases for DC (any plans to support these?)
• resize images. Dealing with images never felt easy to me, that resize handle will be helpful.
• word/character count. This is really handy if you're working on e.g. talk submissions or similar.

We haven't upgraded yet but I am very excited for Dark Mode!
