Introducing Pull Request Builds Support in Bitbucket Server Integration Plugin for Jenkins

We are pleased to announce a new feature in the Bitbucket Server Integration Plugin for Jenkins. As part of the plugin's 4.0.0 release, we're introducing support for pull request builds.

What's new?

The highlight of this release is the support for pull request builds. This feature allows Jenkins to automatically build and test pull requests, providing developers and reviewers with crucial feedback about the proposed changes. Here's an overview of the changes and improvements introduced in this release.

Pull request discovery

We’ve introduced the Discover pull requests behavior when configuring the Bitbucket branch source for Multibranch pipeline projects. This new trait allows jobs to discover and build pull requests. It also includes support for pull requests from forked repositories. Pull request discovery can also be automatically triggered by enabling the Pull request opened or source branch updated webhook trigger for the multibranch pipeline job.

Pull requests tab

A dedicated tab has been added for pull request builds, making it easy to access and manage pull request builds in your Multibranch pipeline projects.

Get started

To start using pull request builds, update your Bitbucket Server Integration Plugin to version 4.0.0, and check out the documentation on how to configure your multibranch pipeline to have pull request discovery enabled.

We hope you find this new feature useful and look forward to your feedback. For bugs and feature requests, please visit https://issues.jenkins.io and create an issue with atlassian-bitbucket-server-integration-plugin as the component.
