As of the 24th September 2021 (Sydney time) we will stop producing Docker images for our products using JDK 8. All existing images will continue to be available on Docker Hub, but going forward new images utilising JDK 8 will not be produced for future product releases. We have decided to make this change to reduce support complexity, and reflect the increased focus on JDK 11 throughout our product range.
Note that if you need to continue using JDK 8 for any reason (or need any other form of custom image), the Dockerfiles and all build and support tooling for our images are available in our open-source Bitbucket repositories. Instructions on building your own images can be found in README.md file in each repository.
