Unable to add AD users to local group in Crowd...

Zuy Tran April 17, 2020

I installed Crowd 4.0 and add a Microsoft Active Directory; synced and I can see AD users from the domain.  I want to add those AD users to the local Crowd group (under Direct members tab); the only users I see from the pick list are local (Crowd) users and none from the AD even search returns nothing.  What am I missing?  The directory is Manage groups locally enabled.  Thanks for you help.

Hey @Zuy Tran

What you’re trying to do should be possible. You can only add users to groups in the same directory, so make sure that the directory dropdown list on the groups tab shows your AD linked directory, then create a group in that directory and then you should be able to add your AD members to it (as you’ve enabled manage groups locally).
