Crowd DataCenter 3.0.1 on CentOS 7.x, not rendering UI fully?

Edited

I have just done a clean install of Crowd 3.0.1 DataCenter on CentOS 7.x   While the application appears to have installed properly, when I open the web UI, it is rendering in a "minimal" way (i.e. no inline images, etc.)   Image is below:

Apart from the render issue, the server appears to be working properly.  Any idea what might be causing this?

The render issue happens under both Firefox Quantum and the latest Chrome browsers.

Please upgrade to Crowd 3.0.2 or 3.1.1 or disable compression in apache-tomcat/conf/server.xml.
