Bulk user group changes via CSV import

I need to add over 300 users to a couple of different groups in crowd.

I was wondering if there is a way to perform a bulk group add via a csv or any other method, rather than doing it individually.

Atlassian has a doc for that.

I noticed that csv import doc needs a bit additional info;

One needs to do import in two phase

1) import users csv + groups csv files (creates users and groups)

2) import empty users csv (just field titles) + groups csv files (adds users to correct groups)

Also groups file must in line format: username group  (thus one username will have as many lines as group memberships). I ended up writing XML backup to excel files converter as Crowd failed each time when importing the backup file
