Automatically deactivating a user in crowd (at a future date)?

Looking to deactivate Jira users through Crowd or Jira automatically. Is there a way to automatically deactivated a user in 6 months? And as a bonus, be emailed an alert to renew access?

Or is the only option creating custom code in script runner?

For anyone reading this today.

There's no such feature in Jira or Crowd. Scripting seems to be the only option if you use internal users.

If Jira/ Crowd is connected to an LDAP directory I suppose that could be set on the LDAP side, but not in Crowd / Jira.
