yworks for confluence diagram not compatible to yEd?

We are currently evaluating yWorks diagrams for Confluence for our team with the free trial version.

We created a workflow diagram in Confluence and exported it as a GraphML file. If we try to open it in yEd, all elements are shown as the default yellow box, stacked on top of each other. 

Is there a fix intendend/ a workaround available?

Confluence version (self-hosted): 5.9.11

Plugin version: 2.0.2

We contacted the guys from yWorks support.

They said, that unfortunately, yEd cannot read GraphML files created by Diagrams for Confluence.
