In general I don't see this behavior. Can you give us an example?

I'm editing a collection of Confluence pages that were imported (1-2 years ago?) from Google Docs. The formatting is pretty screwy and I'm trying to clean that up. If I select a block and start with "Clear Formatting" things go better. But still sometimes I'll go back and bold a word and Confluence will insert a blank space in front of a line 5-10 lines above the one I touched. It seems like there might be invisible traces of style and formatting left over that are messing with the WYSIWYG data model.
