why a view only user cant edit a page if I allow it by page restrictions

This question is in reference to Atlassian Documentation: Page Restrictions

I have a user that belongs to a group that has view only permission on a space.

If I want to give to that user the permission to edit a single page 

by using a page restriction 

that does't work.

The user can edit the page.

Can you help me to understand the relations between space permission and page restrictions about the editing capability ?

Hi @Giuseppe Coletti,

If a user have the add pages permission to a space, then she has the edit permission to all pages.

You can restrict that user from editing a certain page by applying page restrictions. If that user doesn't have the add pages space permission, even if she is added to the list of users which the page editing is restricted to, she won't be able to edit the page.
