have you seen performance being affected after viewtracker plugin was installed/enabled?
our env.: CONF 3.5.3 / ~2K users / ~30K pages

I will disable username lookups, most likely
Viewtracker will likely suffer the same performance problems as the Confluence Usage Tracking plugin (which is disabled by default because it has known performance problems in large installations). If you have problems with one, you'll likely see problems with the other plugin too.
The guys from BitVoodoo will likely know better though, so I guess they'll likely give you an answer sometime soon :)
I eventually went with Piwik tracking all my Atlassian tools
