I am using to different atlassian sites.
In one of them, if I click on edit button of a page, the vertical sidebar turns off.
In the other one, when I am editing, the vertical sidebar is always turned on.
Is it a new feature implemented? I would like to have the vertical sidebar always turns on. For me it is a good change but I am not able to find how to manage this setting.
Does anyone know how to set up the vertical sidebar always visible? Thanks
I recall an announcement or release notes entry about this feature rolling out, but I cannot find it with a quick search. I would question my sanity on a Monday morning, but the fact that some of you are seeing this feature makes me think it was real. 😅
Hi @Laura Vallejo ,
Have you tried with short cut key ( ctrl + [ ).

Hi ,
same problem here.
(bear in mind: I'm completely new to confluence):
I would like to see the sidebar all the time, but sometimes it's in and someetimes it's out automatically.
My only way to get it back is by clicking our own firm-logo on the upper left and begin to navigate to the wanted page again from the beginning.
The shortcut with "[" doesn't work here. On my german keyboard I need to press
[AltGr] + [8]
So is it
[Ctrl] + [AltGr] + [8]
then?
EDIT: It's the keyboard-key [8] together with [AltGr] before - corrected and better readable ;)

The one that does not display the tree is Confluence Cloud.
The other is Confluence Server/Data Center (if memory serves me well)

So I opened my private Confluence this morning and.... my editor opens the server style = I can see my navigation tree on the left.
On the corporate Confluence site, however... It's full size.
What's even MORE puzzling it that on our other Confluence size, I have the tree visible in the Edit mode :D
I tried what @Sreenivasaraju P suggested, CTRL + [ shortcut (on a Mac) while having a page open in the Edit mode in my private confluence. And I was able to toggle between displayin/hiding the navigation tree.
So I wonder if it's anything to do with some a gradual feature rollout... It's a mix of Standard and Premium licenses and there's no common denominator as far as I can see to point to why sites behave differently.
