using variables in confluence text

I don't know if "variable" is the right Confluence term, so please read on

I'd like to use a variable name that would be substituted for text defined elsewhere. For example, if I have a very long product name and version that changes often, i'd like to use MyProductId variable in my text in all pages, or something similar. Can you please point me in the right direction ?

I'd also recommend that you keep the reused pages in a separate area of the space, so that you can find them easily. We have some guidelines here:
