Hi all,
I've got a special request by my boss that I cant solve yet.
Is there a way to have a page thats set to "private" to also be shown in the children list of its parent-page? Currently I can only see the 2 meetings that are public in the overview.
I also would need to be able to create a task in this private meeting for somebody whos not part opf that page, yet they should receive the task, but nothing else from that privat page?
Is there some way to solve this?
Pretty please, this might be the deciding factor for full purchase :)
BR Markus
HI @Markus Auberger welcome to the Atlassian Community!
Restricted pages can be more restrictive than their parent pages.
So unless the assignee of the task has view access to the page, they cannot see the task assigned to them.
The solution is to put the task on a page that is not restricted to the assignee of the task.
This is logical by design, so I don't really understand how this could be a blocker for purchase.
use-case:
a meeting page is only set up for group A
in this meeting a task for somebody from group B comes up
the group B-person should be notified of that "to do" without being able to read all aboud group-A meeting
group A wants to add the task in the current meeting to keep track of it and to not lose time by creating a new group/meeting

I understand the use case Markus, but the design of page restrictions just doesn't allow your requirement.
