however when you visit any of the links off that page.. eg the Confluence REST API documentation link

None of the examples / references in the REST api documentation have the URL for the cloud, nor identify the user/pass/apikey needed..
it's all directed at the local server use, not the cloud
Ah, I see. It does come across that way.
But, it's valid for both - there's no difference in the way you'd use Cloud REST and Server REST.

it's different.. the Could ones start with /wiki (which is not mentioned anywhere, but I managed to figure it out) also the authentication does not work.. the -u user/pass always fails.. if you get a endpoint to work it always returns no data as it's acting in a "public" mode..
