Hello

I have a big table in Confluence, and this table can be used for different purposes.

For example, sometimes we would like to see the list of customers without billing, sometimes the list of customer in Europe , etc ....

I added the macro 'table filter', and i manage to have the result i want for each purpose.

The problem : i need to reset the filter and change everything when I want to see other result.

I would like to know if it's possible to have a button which will apply the list of filter.

Simple example :

Button1 ==> "Status = Active" & "Billing = No"

Button 2 ==> "Status = Not Active" & "Location = Europe"

If there is another solution , i am also interested :)

Thank you for your support

Regards

Hi @Florent ,

I guess that the Table Filter macro you are talking about is provided by our Table Filter, Charts & Spreadsheets for Confluence app.

If this is the case, then you'll have two options:

  • You can use the Table Excerpt/Table Excerpt Include macros to reuse your original table as many times as you need. Each virtual copy can be filtered independently and you'll get several filter views of the same table.
    It can be a handy solution if you need a kind of a dashboard. For example, when you need not only to filter your table but to aggregate and visualize it. You may wrap each Table Excerpt Include macro in the Table Toolbox macro and nest Table Filter, Pivot Table, Chart from Table macros in various sequences to achieve a precise result.
  • If we are talking only about the Table Filter macro, you can also use the "Copy filter URL" option. Configure your filter views, copy and save their URLs somewhere on the page, and you'll be able to see the required filter view immediately by navigating to the required URL.

Hope it helps your case.

Hello

Thank you for your quick answer.

The second option with "Copy the filter URL" is good.

I would prefer to have a button instead of a link (because it's more beautiful), but it's acceptable :)

To create beautiful buttons using different links, you may try another app that is also developed by our company - Handy Macros for Confluence. Maybe you already have it installed for your instance.

Its Handy Button will do the trick.
