Hi @Mengmeng Yu

You can check below things -

- Does the application URL use the correct port?
- Does the application URL match the base URL of the remote application (or the display URL if the remote application is behind a reverse proxy )?
- Does the application URL use the correct context path?
- Check that the firewall configuration allows access on the required port, using the network tools like ping/telnet/traceroute etc

Hi Kishan

I can access this link https://jira-server-hostname:port directly via chrome and the hostname is the FQDN of the server where jira running.

above is what I configured from confluence side . below is  some config from Jira side. I encounter this error as picture shows:

any idea?

Connection test failed. Response from the server:
com.atlassian.crowd.exception.ApplicationPermissionException: Forbidden (403) Encountered a "403 - Forbidden" error while loading this page. client.forbidden.exception Go to Jira home

From the screenshot it seems that you are trying to configure LDAP user directory and the username/password you provided is wrong. Do you use Microsoft Active Directory ?  you need to provide the hostname/port/username / password etc to test the connection.
