Hi,
You could just make the content open to anonymous so anyone can view it and they would not need a login.
That is a not quite right ...
You need to create a SPACE that has anonymous access Permissions. Then any page within that Space is visible to anyone anywhere in the world - just like a "normal" web page. Is that really what you want?
What sort of customers are they - business-to-business? If so you can demonstrate some customer appreciation and privilege by giving them their own login.

Anonymous access is a bit insecure. Anonymous users can still see the names and emails of everyone else across the site and there's a bit of work involved setting up permissions. If you want to allow anonymous access to your Confluence then it would make sense to set up a separate instance of Confluence. A separate instance for anonymous users is cheap too and you can export/import content between instances via xml.
