iCal Team Calendar subscription does not contain user name for non-default events

Deleted user August 22, 2018

We have several event types for our team calendar:

  • Events (Default)
  • Travel (Default)
  • Leave (Default)
  • Out of office
  • Work from home

I subscribe to the calendar via it's iCal url.

The default event types show up like "<username>: <subject>" but the non default types only show "<subject>"

This is annoying when everybody just writes the same subject. I can't distinguish who is out of the office or working from home.

Hi @[deleted], this was identified as a bug here:

https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Confluence-questions/Team-Calendars-not-showing-name-in-iCal-subscription/qaq-p/945518

They created 2 tickets for this

https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/CONFSERVER-57647 (Server)

https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/CONFCLOUD-65209 (Cloud)

Hopefully it gets enough votes and will be fixed!

I'm also having this problem, but I hadn't worked out that it was specifically to do with Default events. For me it wouldn't show for even the default events until a few days after I had started using the iCal feed.
