i want to put non task checkboxs in before a step in a process that has auto numbering

so once step 1 is done i can check it off  and when step 2 is done i can check it off so if i have an appointment i know exactly where i left off. but i want a simple page refresh would removed all the check marks for the next time i have to do this step by step process

For a simple solution, you could use a 2-column table. Place a checkbox with no text next to it in the first column and your process steps in the second column. 

I don't think you would be able to clear the checkboxes by refreshing the page, but you could just manually clear them.
