I have an image and I want to embed a pdf link into it. Is that possible?

Sure.

  1. Add both the image and PDF to the page
  2. Save the page
  3. Right click the PDF and select Copy link address
  4. Edit the page
  5. Delete the PDF
  6. Select the image and click Link
  7. Click Web link, select the Address field and paste
  8. Click Insert and save the page
