Hi, I want to delete my account but I got the following message. I tried and still don't know how to delete the account.

Your account could not be deleted because:

  • This account is associated with an active account set to AUTO-RENEW (auto-renew).
  • This account is the primary billing contact for one or more products.
  • This account is the technical contact for one or more products.
  • To proceed with deleting this account, the account owner needs to visit my.atlassian.com and designate an additional user as a billing and technical contact.
  • Read our support documentation for more help and instructions: https://confluence.atlassian.com/x/pTgoPQ

Hi @William li ,

welcome to the Atlassian community!

The answer is in your description (https://confluence.atlassian.com/cloudkb/exception-handling-for-atlassian-account-deletions-1026046117.html). You can't delete an account that is the primary contact for one or more products. You need to change it first.

Option 1: Change the main billing or main technical contact for your site(s)

The easiest option to maintain continuity is to transfer contact from yourself to another appropriate contact within your organization. See How do I update the Billing and Technical Contacts for my Atlassian products? for a procedure on adding contacts.

Note that the new contact will need to log in to make themselves the primary contact in order to complete the process.

Once this is complete, you can delete your profile at https://id.atlassian.com/manage-profile. Details on the deletion are described at Delete your account.

Hi, Fabio, Thanks for the reply. But still I am quite confused with the steps described in the Atlassian website and couldn't find the product/subscription where I can enter the new contact. Please see below and let me know what I should do. Thanks.
