Hi,
We are planning to capture our product requirements in the below sample tabular format::
SDD Requirement Id, Description, Impacted modules, Compliance Status per module
SDD-F1-001, Push To notifier1, DB, Callp, GUI FC
SDD-F2-001, Push To notifier2, DB, Callp, Scripts PC
SDD-F2-002, Push To notifier3, GAT, CAT, EMS NC
and so on.
Here to capture the "Impacted modules" column values, I think we need to create a "Custom field" drop down menu (of type "Select list multiple choices") in Confluence page - How to do this in confluence with predefined values updated into "Impacted modules" field and should be shared across confluence space to access from all other pages updated in same space ?
And also for each module, we need to get "Compliance Status per module" from the respective module owners, when we publish the final Requirement document with them in Confluence.
What type of custom field (or any other feature supported in Confluence), we need to create for capturing the "Compliance Status per module" column values against each requirement captured in the table?
Please let us know on these clarifications, helps us to go well with Confluence usage in our project. Thanks.
Manju
Hi Manju,
Confluence does not know Custom Fields (as Jira does).
The Scaffolding Plugin enables you to create forms for your Confluence page. In these forms you can define your dropdown menues. If the page is edited (not the form), your users enter values into the form. They are not able to edit the page (=the form) itself.
We are using that plugin, it works well, but is not for free.
