how do i reset text color to its default color?

Is there a revert or default button for text color? When I accidently applied a custom color to some linked text, exited the editor, and re-entered to revert to the default color, there was no obvious way to do it.

Using the text color picker to apply "black" is not obvious either since there are several very dark colors that the eye cant tell them apart, for instance deep dark blue vs. black.

Highlight the text that is the wrong color and then use the Clear formatting option in the toolbar.
