My company would like to automate the addition of designations for each user when they are created on our confluence instance. Is there a way to do this without creating a new user directory and integrating our Azure AD domain with confluence? We ultimately want the roles each new user has to match their job role on their user account on our domain, but we are concerned it will be very time consuming to move ownership of pages, spaces, attachments, and permissions once a full domain integration is performed, a new user directory is created and all of our existing users have to move over to the new accounts.
Why wouldn’t you want to link it to single sign on? There really isn’t a way to do it without some type of authentication or directory binding
