anonymous users participate in polls

Raoul Kaiser August 18, 2020

I have a very specific case I am trying to work out. I have been asked to set up a confluence space where anonymous users can view project work, but not edit it. This was easy enough, but now I have been asked to allow them to participate in polling. Is this as simple as:

1. Creating a polling page under the space

2. Set edit on that page

Is this possible? What is the best way to do this?

You could, but it would be useless to you.  You have no way of knowing which anonymous "vote" is which, so anyone could completely game your poll.

Any suggestions?

You'll need to find software that can distinguish between anonymous users somehow and can enable polling based on that.
