add-on for media wiki converter ? Edited

hi all,

Users of confluence 5.10 , server.

we have nearly 50,000 pages or more on media wiki and interested in a plug-in to convert them to Confluence pages.

i understand UWC is not supporting versions of 5+ so, are there any other good options worth investing?

we are debating between hiring temps to do the migration manually(copy/paste) Vs using a plug-in.

thanks !

Hi there,

Are you referring to the Universal Wiki Converter?  It has, in fact, been deprecated, but my recommendation would be to convert the pages of MediaWiki to HTML, and then you can try to use the HTML to Confluence Converter and import those files.

It is an old project but I believe a few users were successful at least in the last year when converting this way.

Let us know if you have any questions.

Kind Regards,

yes Shannon, I meant UWC. I will look into this HTML . thanks for the response.
