Wrong metadata is shown when I share links from Jumpshare into confluence.
This is a sample https://jumpshare.com/v/UhbDuPLdrlSSZoxHLRJN
And below is the preview I got in Confluence. If you see the source of the webpage I shared above, it has proper meta tags but Confluence and Jira pick a paragraph text from the page (trim your video by dragging ....). Why is this? and how to fix this behaviour?
Hi @M. Rizwan
Welcome to community!
I would recommend reaching out to your internal admin for both products. In my experience this is intentional if companies are using reverse proxies in front of their products. But without knowing your exact environment details that is hard to determine. But if that is the case and your company uses reverse proxies this is by design for security
Best,
Clark
Hi @Clark Everson
Every social media app ( Facebook, Twitter etc ) or communication apps like Slack, Microsoft Team, Google cChat etc unfurl the Jumpshare links almost the same way which is pasted below. These apps use og tags and page titles, which is a standard practice. But Confluence picks a text from HTML hidden code and adds it to the embed. I want to understand how can this be improved/fixed.
