Will Migration Assistant move Server data to Sandbox and then Production?

Hello,

We are building out sample pages in the Confluence sandbox. We have not yet tried the Migration Assistant but intend to. With that in mind, we have some questions:

1) Will the Migration Assistant move selected Server data from the Sandbox and then to Production? Or, will it only move data from server to sandbox or from the server to production? Does the Sandbox serve as an intermediary step? 

2) If we migrate spaces from Server to Sandbox using the Migration Assistant as a test, will it delete the data/mockups we have created?

1) It will move to whatever URL you want to migrate to, if you select Sandbox it will migrate to Sandbox, and if you select Production it will migrate to Production. The sandbox doesn't serve as an intermediary step. It is just for testing purposes, once you are sure everything is migrated then you will need to migrate your data to Production.

2) No it will not, it will only add spaces that you have selected from the server in your Cloud instance.
