Why is wiki markup in the page layout header not working?

Tom Seedorf November 30, 2021

I'm currently trying to get a header in my page layout to display an image that's left aligned. The image displays fine, but none of the attributes work. This is what I have:

But the image simply stays in the center of the page.

Similarly:

!https://imagelink.png|title=my custom text!

Does not display the tooltip.

Same behavior in multiple browsers. Can anyone help?

Hello @Tom Seedorf,

Welcome to Atlassian Community! I hope you are doing well. My name is Shannon, and I'm happy to assist you. I understand you're not able to align or add a tool tip to your image in the Page Layout section in Look and Feel. I see you discovered the bug that is causing this problem:

  • CONFCLOUD-58472 Allow Custom Header and Footer to align using Wiki Markup

In addition, I could replicate the problem with the tooltip, and I reported a second bug below. I also found a similar bug in Confluence Server and have linked it to the below case:

Unfortunately, there's no known workaround at this time. My sincere apologies, since I know this isn't the answer you're hoping for. I hope we can see a resolution soon. Please visit the Atlassian Cloud Bug Fix Policy to learn more about how we prioritize our bug fix efforts. If you haven't yet, I recommend checking the Atlassian Marketplace apps for potential workarounds.

Thank you again for reporting this.

Take care,
