Why is the user interface different in Confluence cloud and server version

I'm trying to decide which type of Confluence to buy, it seems that the Cloud version has a much better user interface than the Server version? For example the sidebar is at the left in Cloud and editing functions in Cloud is much more efficient and user friendly. If I buy the Server version, is there any chance to use the Cloud interface?

Hi @Ruan_Hao

There is a great comparison as Moses mentioned on this answer - with some good links which explain the differences between Cloud and Server / Data Center.

It's best to take all those differences into account when making your decision.

From a UI perspective, worth keeping in mind that Confluence Cloud is receiving a new UI - see this page for more information.
