Why is confluence response so slow?

Why is Atlassian hosted confluence so slow when typing? There is like 1 second delay when I start typing.

It's even worst when working with tables.

Changing the mode to edit takes also a long time too.

The old version of confluence was so fast.

Using latest Firefox.

Any ideas, or is this purely the fact that the Confluence is hosted by Atlassian and therefore everything is slow.

It's slow for me too. Firefox 93 on Ubuntu 21.04. It gets slower when there is more text on the page.

It's fine on Google Chrome.

Not slow here, very fast. It may just be your internet connection? You were probably using the server version before hosted by your company so your connection maybe have been in your companies network?

My connection is quite fast 100/40Mbps. I work from home.

Its weird. Perhaps this is Firefox protection feature. I disabled it and will see how it goes.
