Why does this error occur: unnknown table 'AO_<xyz>' in information_schema?

Torsten Herrmann October 23, 2017

After new Confluence installation (v 6.4.3) and initial setup there are errors in atlassian-confluence.log:
{{
Caused by: java.sql.SQLSyntaxErrorException: Unknown table 'AO_6384AB_DISCOVERED' in information_schema
at com.mysql.cj.jdbc.exceptions.SQLError.createSQLException(SQLError.java:536)
}}

What's going wrong?

Environment:
OS = Debian
Database = MySQL Ver 10.1.26-MariaDB-0+deb9u1 for debian-linux-gnu on x86_64 (Debian 9.1)
JDBC-Treiber = mysql-connector-java-6.0.5.jar

Application is not running correctly - *cannot be used* !

Also, please check your MySQL JDBC Driver version. The ActiveObjects library has compatibility problem with the latest Connector/J 8.0.x version of the driver. JDBC driver downgrade to 5.1.x may help.

Hi Torsten

MariaDB is not supported by Confluence. You can watch and vote on this request if it's something you would like to see in the future:

You'll want to make sure you're running on all Supported Platforms before we can proceed.

Let us know if you have any questions.

Kind Regards,
Shannon
