Why can't we comment on text inside a page properties macro anymore?

We use page properties and page properties reports alot.

We've been doing lots of inline comments on text in the values column of a table in a page properties macro.

Recently someone asked why we can no longer do inline comments.

In checking I noticed that I also could no longer comment. I've only detected this issue on text inside the page properties macro.

If I go into edit mode, I can highlight and comment on the same text.

having the same problem recently.  we have pages with old inline comments right there, but we can't make new ones anywhere!  i'm entering a support ticket.  I'll let you know what i hear back.

I am having this issue as well, but only some users do not have the comment in-line while within the macro. Is there an existing bug ticket for this issue?
