Hello,
we use the Whiteboard for our Retros.
Some months ago I had already asked the question if it is possible to deactivate the showing of the names of the people when they act on the board.
People would like to be anonymous during the retro while they add new stickies, but currently their names are shown on the board.
I know that people can deactivate to see the names of others, but then others would still see this user.
Is there a way to deactivate the showing of names completely?
Many thanks for a feedback and solution, Michael
Hi @Giehl_ Michael and welcome to the community!
As you mentioned, users can only hide the cursor functionality on their own screen; there's no functionality to deactivate it completely.
While it's not ideal to remind all users to hide collaborators' cursors, it seems like the only work around. But you should definitely suggest this feature to Atlassian (do consider joining the Whiteboards Group for the latest updates too)
Thanks for your honest answer.
Where can I put a feature request for this?

Hey @Giehl_ Michael I've noted down your feature request in our internal feedback tool.

Many thanks for that.
Is there a way that I can follow the progress of the request?
Thanks in advance!

So are there any news in the meantime if this is planned as a feature for the future?

+1 for this thread as well @Christina Ristevski Came to the community looking for help to get anonymity in retros and I think we'll have to move outside of Confluence whiteboards for a bunch of projects if we can't be anonymous in our initial inputs.

We had to move off of it too and started using LucidSpark as it has private mode.

We would like this feature too or private mode would be beneficial for teams wishing to do anonymous retros/workshops.
