When can we expect new editor in Confluence Server?

I see a new editor in Confluence Cloud. When can we expect a similar enhanced new editor for Confluence Server?

Hopefully the new cloud editor in its current state will never be used in the server area.
This editor is as it is now an impertinence. :(

There isn't a plan to utilise the new editor in Confluence Cloud at this stage - the two hosting types (Confluence Cloud and Confluence Server/DC) are classed as separate products, so you won't always find the same features or releases in both

See CONFSERVER-59536 where Makisa from the Confluence Server/DC team provided this response in May 2020:

Closing as we don't have any future plans to incorporate the editor used in Confluence Cloud into Confluence Server and Data Center. The editor uses a different architecture and would be a significant change for our customers and our teams to roll out, implement and support.

If there are specific experiences/elements that you would like to see in Confluence Server and Data Center, please add this feedback against the closest suggestion for that component as there may be opportunities to do this as we work on features and consider alignments with the Cloud experience.
