Hello Experts,
While I use a template for creating new page in wiki ( like trouble shooting guide or how to article template ) The information is getting duplicated in the parent of the page & also appears at the foot of the page as well? Is this a feature or an issue ? I dont like to see the same content in 2 places? Any help would be appreciated?
Despite all the details you have provided, I still do not fully understand the problem. So I'll state what I think I have understood and hope this gets us somewhere ...
1. I suspect that you created a page based on the How-to-article Blueprint and named it "How to articles".
2. There is the concept in Confluence where a Blueprint may define an Index Page that automatically lists all pages based on the Blueprint (see e.g. https://www.atlassian.com/blog/confluence/build-automated-index-pages-confluence). This Index Page is also called "How-to articles".
So there are two pages with the same function and a slightly different name (one has a '-' one not).
One option would be to use this Confluence Index Page and add your content according to your requirements (and move it to the desired location - keeping in mind that users may expect the Index Page at the default location). Blueprints may have no Index Page, but to my knowledge this needs to be by-design defined by the Blueprint Author.
I am not sure if Confluence would create the Index Page if there is already a page with that name. I would suspect the page would be created with a number in the title (such as "How-to articles (1)"). So this would not likely not prevent the page from being created.
I hope some points above make sense ...
Thanks for your response @Robert Reiner _smartics_
Is this applicable for all the templates that we use ?

The Index Page is a feature that depends on the Blueprint. As far as I know most if not all Blueprints provided by Atlassian provide this Index Page. But you would need to check it for each Blueprint you use.
If there is an Index Page for a given Blueprint it will be created with the first Page you create with the Page Wizard. If there is no additional Page, then there is no Index Page.
Note that the Index Page is created per Space. So if you create a How-to article on your Personal Space, the Index Page for How-to articles will be created on your Personal Space.

So as you can see the first screen shot is what, I had created a child page using the how to article template which can be seen appearing as child page in image1 which is fine
In the second image you can see the content in this case I am yet have something, But if you see the 3rd image the child page seem to be appearing & if i open it , links to the same page what ever I created with the template & appears at the page foot also.
You can see how to articles in 2 places ? Is this the behavior / Feature ? I feel this is confusing is there a way to resolve this ?
