I'm looking to migrate pages/documents from a different service to Confluence Cloud. I am interested in automating this process using a script.
I planned on using the Confluence REST API to create the page. I stumped on how i can convert html to Confluence XHTML-based.
I could grind it out and do it manually, but it is my understanding that this functionality exists for bulk upload through the UI, so the logic must exist somewhere? Or perhaps there is a trusted library I can use? If anyone has any other ideas or approaches, please let me know!
Hey @Jude and welcome to the Community.
This is fresh from the Atlassian's oven :)
Say Hello to HTML Importer: Bulk Import Your HTML Content into Confluence!
(Prior to the HTML import feature, after migrating hundreds of pages from various HTML renditions of various CMS docs tool, I found out that the fastest way to do that is manual copy paste, then sanity check. Yes, conversion is possible but chances are you'd spend more time scripting AND doing the cleanup and check, than doing it manually).
