I am provisioning a group using idp.
Due to a reorganization, I changed the group name in idp, but the group name on the Atrassian side was not changed.
Is this a specification?
What should I do if I want to change the group name on the Atrassian side?
I would suspect that after changing the group in idp, Altassian no longer knows which group to look for in the idp to sync with. You'll need to inform the Atlassian cloud of the new group name.

Is it a setting on the IdP side? Or is it a setting on the Atlassian side?

I have reviewed the ticket for the proposed feature.
From my perspective from the field, organizations around the world are changing at a dizzying pace. Due to this inconsistency, changing groups as the organization changes can be very time consuming and labor intensive.
We chose a product with provisioning capabilities to reduce that effort, but the Atlassian product requires additional work when using the group provisioning feature and I hope that improvements to this feature are addressed as a priority. I like the Atlassian product and would like to see the group provisioning feature added to the Atlassian product. I plan to continue using the product.
